Spring 2014 Ready-to-Wear

Spring 2014 fashion weeks are in full swing, and we are seeing some new trends and shifts in silhouettes yet again.  The majority of designers are presenting full, boxy, baggy silhouettes and separates consisting of a crop top and midi-skirt.  So, far I’m not impressed.  Overall, the images has lost an edge of femininity, and the loose fitting styles with square shoulders and chopped body-line don’t flatter the female wearer.

Here’s a more comprehensive list of trends I’ve noted so far:

baggy pant; loose, square tops; lattice work; pajama stripes; cross front top; loose shirtdress; square shoulder; knee length skirts; moto jacket; men’s jackets; asymmetrical wrap skirt; small geo patterning, digital webbing; button front cardigans

More to come…
